Fundraising Manager, based in Portsmouth

£26,125 - £33,307 per annum 

(dependent on skills, experience and qualifications), working 37.5 hours per week

Permanent contract

 

We are looking for an experienced, creative and resourceful individual who is keen to make a real difference to the lives of young people and families across Hampshire.  You will raise funds to support the development of services to engage and support young people and families, leading to transformed lives and positive outcomes. 

You will have excellent communication, networking and organisation skills, and be able to demonstrate strong experience of building and developing relationships with potential funders and be confident in influencing both internal and external stakeholders. You will have a track record of successfully securing major donor, corporate and trust funding and have the ability to meet and exceed targets with an expectation to raise a minimum of £100,000+ per year with a view to increasing this over time.

You will be part of the senior management team and working with trustees and colleagues, develop a  strategic vision to grow income.

Job Description

 

JOB TITLE:                        Fundraising Manager         

RESPONSIBLE TO:           Senior Management

RESPONSIBLE FOR:        To coordinate and undertake fundraising across the organisation including corporate, individual and trust fundraising

PURPOSE OF JOB            To attract income, ideally unrestricted, for Motiv8 with a return on investment of at least 4:1

 

1.            To develop and manage, in collaboration with the senior officers and trustees, an effective fundraising and marketing strategy for the organisation with a fully researched funding plan for the next 5-10 years.

2.            Maximise income across all fundraising activities to meet agreed targets including identifying new funding opportunities and developing these into guaranteed income.

3.            To research and fully understand the funding needs of Motiv8 and its related partners for financial stability and to fulfill our business plan objectives.

4.            To develop and implement a marketing strategy to raise the profile of Motiv8, with a specific emphasis on fundraising

5.            Maintain and develop the donor monitoring program E Tapestry and ensure that this is kept up to date

6.            To produce regular reports and attend meetings with the Senior Management team for the purposes of reporting and developing fundraising strategies and reporting on agreed outputs.

7.            Lead on major giving from trusts, individuals, foundations, corporate partners and grant funders

 

TRUST FUNDRAISING

 

8.            Assist the Senior Management Team in developing excellent relationships with key charitable trusts and other funders for the organisation.

9.            Co-ordinate funding applications being made within Motiv8 and its related partners.

 

CORPORATE FUNDRAISING

 

10.         Identify new and existing key donors and develop specific bids/pitches with responsibility for reporting and relationship management

11.         Develop links to corporate partners in various ways, from organising payroll giving to agreeing sponsorship of major events

 

MAJOR DONOR FUNRAISING

 

12.         To develop relationships with key supporters who would like to support the organisation

13.         Work with trustees and supporters to maximize the potential of existing contacts and prospective new contacts

14.         To raise awareness of the charity and its work at local and national levels

15.         Undertake any other work that might be required
